| Our Holiday Party is right around the corner on Saturday, January 10th at 5:00 pm. Please be there at 5:00 if you are performing. Remember, it will be held at JFK Middle School in Northampton, MA. Please contact Jen if you need directions. Each instructor has probably advised the students what they are expected to wear, but if not please just try to be festive. The non-ballet students should wear black jazz pants with a red, white, or green top. The top can be tank, tee, 3/4, or long-sleeved. Students are also encouraged to wear Santa hats or any other type of holiday gear, as long as it does not interfere with their dancing. Ballet students should wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers, and leotards. Remember that each student will also be decorated in garland that NSD is providing. Please be sure to sign up at the desk for raffle prizes that you would like to donate and/or food that you would like to bring. The most exciting news of the event is that NSD is hiring a DJ for the show. Dana Collins will be playing our music for the performance and then will be playing more music for us while we eat and then dance again later on—freestyle of course! Kids, make sure to get your parents out on the dance floor! Once each student gets there, please have them get decorated with their garland. Jen and Andrea will be decorating along with anyone else who would like to volunteer to help. Once each child is decorated, we will start the show. If all goes well, we will start dancing at 6:30 pm. The performance schedule will be announced shortly. Raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the party and will be $1 each, 5 for $3, or 10 for $5. The DJ will make announcements throughout the night of who you will have to see to purchase tickets. There will be a table set up with all the nice gifts that everyone has donated. There will be a bag in front of each gift and you will put your ticket(s) in the bag of the gift you wish to win. After dinner, we will do the drawings. We will even have a 50/50 raffle drawing. Again, the designated person for you to see to purchase tickets will be announced throughout the evening. Once the food and games are out of the way, it will be time to dance again. Dana will be with us until 10:00 pm. If anyone has any questions regarding the holiday party, please contact Jen.
